Job Description

JE James Cycles have a vacancy for a Service Centre Manager at our newly renovated Sheffield store, to work within a successful and hardworking team. 

Your key duties will include –

  • Planning an effective workload for each staff member.
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers on a regular basis.
  • Being the key communicator between the customer and the staff.
  • Ensuring that staff have what they need to work efficiently.
  • Maintaining a high standard or workmanship within the department.
  • Dealing with any complaints/concerns quickly & efficiently.

This position is Full time and will include weekends with a day(s) off in the week on a rota basis this can be flexible.

In order to maintain the smooth running of the shop at all times, a degree of flexibility is required in the role. As a service centre manager, you may be required to perform work not specifically referred to above.

Skills/Experience Required

Only applicants with good knowledge of cycle maintenance and building on various bikes need to apply (Cytech qualified preferable)

  • The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to convey information to a variety of customers with differing levels of understanding. 
  • You are expected to work well under pressure whilst remaining polite, professional and friendly at all times. 
  • You will endeavour to maintain our excellent reputation by providing outstanding service that exceeds the customer’s expectations.
  • This role will be in all departments so a passion for bikes, knowledge of products, riding and connecting with customers is essential.  
  • You may be the first point of contact so a positive, proactive and eager attitude is absolutely necessary.
