Job Description
Job Overview
We're looking for a new addition to our passionate and dedicated team here at The Cycle Hub!
Passion for bikes and cycling (whether road, MTB or any other discipline) is a must! As a family run, "by riders, for riders" local bike shop, our priority is supporting our local cycling community with top notch service, expert sales advice, and a passion for all things two-wheels!
This position will be primarily and initially a sales role; assisting in day-to-day front of house tasks, helping guide customers to the correct bike options for their needs, as well as recommending parts and accessories to suit.
Core duties will include making and managing sales to customers, working with our in-house POS system (training will be amply provided), helping receive and stock in deliveries and keeping the sales floor looking tidy and presentable.
There is scope for this role to expand over time if the candidate shows a willingness to work hard, learn new skills and take on further responsibilities, allowing for a pathway to higher renumeration in line with expanded duties.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries.
- Maintain an organised and tidy shop environment, ensuring products are displayed attractively.
- Process sales transactions accurately using the till system.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products.
- Upsell items where appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth shop operations.
- Assist in stock management, including receiving deliveries and restocking shelves as needed.
If the above sounds like you; we'd love to meet you! Contact us with your CV and a short cover letter explaining your cycling background and why you believe you'd be a great fit for the role!
